The content is delivered in MPEG-4 AVC or MPEG-2 format. CSI Digital's Constant Bit Rate (CBR) MPEG-4 format results in a reduced bandwidth requirement of around 50%. The benefits of lower bandwidth include:

The Digital IPTV Video Content

CSI Digital's standard video package includes 200 channels and optional programming of hundreds more. CSI Digital customers receive the best in video content delivery. CSI Digitals' Multi-platform Head-end delivers licensed and processed content in next generation MPEG-4 AVC (or alternatively MPEG-2) format, allowing multiple channels to be distributed to the subscriber home seamlessly. With a complete open standard Conditional Access System (CAS) encryption infrastructure at CSI's Multi-platform Head-end, the channels authorized to the provider may be flowed through to the subscriber, or decrypted at the provider's facility for local CAS insertion.

CSI Digital will work with the provider to create a customized system with the look and feel of a unique offering. The system architecture is such that CSI Digital's customers are not limited to one supplier of Middleware, Conditional Access, or Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), but instead have a choice, thus creating advantages in pricing.

Client Head-End

The Client Head-end is the provider's receiving point of CSI Digital's pre-processed video programming. Content is received via a 4.5m antenna, with the satellite signal being demodulated, decrypted, and ultimately converted to a IP or DVB encapsulated stream. The minimal equipment necessary and associated cost reduction for a provider to deploy digital video is a core benefit of the CSI Digital package. The "all in" costs to deliver digital television services can be approximately 10% of a provider's self deployed system. CSI Digital's customers realize these savings because most of the content is processed before it is transmitted to the Client Head-end.

The basic equipment requirements for providers are:
